Pattern 1: Engrave on the product you own

We will provide a provisional quote based on your inquiry.
As this is only a provisional quote, the amount may change or we may decline the order when providing the final quote.
After confirming the provisional estimate, we will inform those who wish to receive a final estimate where to send the requested item.
We will inspect your item and provide a final quote.
Since the condition of the requested item also affects the work, the amount may change from the provisional quote or we may decline your request.
Once the amount and design are finalized in the final quote, the order will be placed.
For orders from companies/corporations, we will require a purchase order.
If conditions, requests, or designs are changed, a re-quote will be necessary even after the final quote or order placement.
The engraving process will begin after confirming payment completion.
Delivery dates may vary as we work on items in the order they are received and ordered.
Shipping will commence upon confirmation of payment.
Please check the item upon arrival.
Pattern 2: IMULTA purchases the item on your behalf
We can purchase the item to be engraved on your behalf, but only if it is a new product available in Japan.
Please feel free to contact us via the provisional quote request form.
We will provide a quote based on your inquiry.
As this is only a quote based on your inquiry, the final amount may change in the final quote.
Once the amount and design are finalized in the quote, the order will be placed.
For orders from companies/corporations, we will require a purchase order.
If conditions, requests, or designs are changed, a re-quote will be necessary even after the final quote or order placement.
Upon confirmation of payment, we will purchase the item to be engraved and begin the engraving work.
We will purchase the item to be engraved.
There are conditions for products that can be purchased on your behalf, so please read the notes carefully.
We will inspect the arrived item to be engraved and provide a final quote.
If conditions, requests, or designs are changed, the amount may differ from the previous quote.

Fees vary depending on various order conditions and the condition of the product you wish to have engraved, so please inquire first.

| Engraving Labor Fee | This varies depending on various conditions such as the product to be engraved, metal, area, design, and quantity, as well as the condition of the item and your desired specifications. In some situations, additional charges may apply. Even simple patterns may require advanced techniques, or special tools and fixtures may need to be prepared for your specific item. Engraving on high-hardness metals such as stainless steel or on metal products with special shapes may take longer. |
| Design / Engraving Planning Fee | This fee applies even if the engraving design is already decided, as it is necessary to confirm and consider not only “what pattern to engrave where” but also “how to engrave it.” This fee will vary depending on various factors such as the type of product to be engraved, the metal used, the area, the design, the number of items, and the condition of the item and your specific requests. |
| Fixture Production Fee | Special tools may need to be prepared for engraving or securing your item. Whether this is necessary and the cost will vary greatly depending on your requests and the size and shape of your item. |

| Shipping Fee | After engraving is completed, items will be shipped via international mail or international courier service. |
| Taxes | When shipping engraved products, customs duties and consumption taxes may be required upon receipt. The specific amount at the time of receipt is determined by the customs authorities of each country based on conditions such as the country or region and the contents. Please confirm this yourself. |
Shipping
The customer will be responsible for the shipping costs for sending the requested item to us and returning it after engraving (or after receiving the estimate).
We will determine the shipping method based on factors such as size, weight, and region.

Payment Methods
The payment deadline is within 7 days of receiving the transfer account information (request).

Materials That May Not Be Engravable
| Some Alloys | While we have been able to engrave all stainless steel to date, the hardness and durability can vary depending on the alloy ratio and properties, so there is a possibility that some may not be engravable. |
| Items with Protective Plating | Products with plating for protective purposes, such as chrome plating, are highly likely to be difficult or inadvisable to engrave. Plating may peel off during the engraving process. Please consider your order taking into account the possibility of damage and rapid deterioration of the product after engraving. |
| Materials Without Previous IMULTA Experience | For new metal materials or metals without prior engraving experience, our answer will be “may not be engravable” as a trial. There are many diverse metals today, so please understand that metals without prior engraving experience may not be engravable. |
| Antique Metal Products | Metal products that have been manufactured many years ago may be susceptible to damage due to insufficient strength or uneven strength caused by casting defects. Especially for brass items from eras when alloy technology was immature (particularly casting defects in cast products), the risk of damage is higher. Therefore, even if a provisional quote is provided, we may determine that engraving is not possible after inspecting the item during the final quote stage and decline the order. If the item you wish to have engraved is an antique or old metal product, please let us know when you contact us. |
Non-engravable Items
| Items falling under prohibited goods | We cannot engrave items that are prohibited worldwide, or that are prohibited in the client’s country or Japan. |
| Designs protected by copyright, portrait rights, and trademark rights | We will decline requests from anyone other than the copyright holder, their affiliated companies, or related parties. The same applies if the original drawing or image is a derivative work. |
| Items or designs that could lead to counterfeiting | We will decline requests that are deemed to lead to counterfeiting or misrepresentation, such as company names, logos of other brands, or suggestive patterns. |
| Stone setting only | We do not accept requests for stone setting only. |
Notes
Confirmation of Prohibited Goods
We cannot accept engraving requests for items that are prohibited worldwide, or that are prohibited in the client’s country or Japan.
Please ensure in advance that your item is not considered a prohibited good in Japan or your own country.
If a prohibited item is sent, we will refuse to accept it and decline your request.
Decision on whether proxy purchase is permissible
Items that can be purchased on your behalf by us are limited to new products available in Japan.
The eligibility for purchase on your behalf varies depending on the product, timing, and manufacturer’s stock status, so it needs to be confirmed each time, even for the same product.
If you wish for us to purchase an item on your behalf, please state so in your inquiry.
Shipping Engraving Products
Please do not send items bought on flea market apps or auction sites directly to IMULTA.
With the widespread use of these services and sites, there has been a sharp increase in fraudulent activities, such as sending intentionally damaged products and demanding compensation.
To prevent trouble, we refuse direct shipments of such products.
Engraving on items used in watery environments (e.g., fishing gear)
Since plating or painted surfaces are engraved, the internal material will be exposed, which may lead to corrosion after engraving.
Please inquire about engraving on items used in or near water, understanding the possibility of corrosion.
Delivery Time
Since one craftsman engraves each item by hand in the order they are received, delivery times can vary significantly depending on the order status and the content of your request.
If you have a desired delivery date, please inquire and order with ample time.
Quote
Please refer to “Regarding Inquiries” below for the items required for a quote.
After reviewing the inquiry, we will send a provisional quote via email.
Since the condition of the item also affects the work, the amount may change between the provisional quote and the final quote, or we may decline the order by deeming engraving impossible at the final quote stage, even if a provisional quote was provided.
Furthermore, if conditions, requests, or designs are changed from the provided quote, a re-quote will be necessary even after the final quote or order placement.
Please note that if you decide not to place an order after receiving the final quote, you will be responsible for the return shipping costs.
Payment Deadline
The payment deadline is within 7 days from the transfer account information (invoice).
For upfront payments or partial upfront payments, work will commence after confirmation of the upfront payment.
For post-payments or partial upfront payments, shipping will commence after confirmation of full payment.
Please make your payment within the deadline to ensure smooth start of work or shipping.
Regarding the publication of achievements
Engraving orders we receive are generally published as part of our work portfolio on the IMULTA website and other platforms.
If you do not wish for your work to be published, please let us know.

- Can you engrave any pattern at the lowest price?

Additionally, there may be cases where even seemingly simple patterns require advanced techniques, cases where it is necessary to prepare special tools to match the requested item, or additional fees may be incurred depending on the condition of the engraved product.

- Why do we estimate twice, a preliminary estimate and a final estimate?

The provisional estimate is calculated based on the details of your inquiry, so it is an approximate amount calculated before we directly check the requested item.
It is not uncommon for the contents of your inquiry to differ from the actual condition of the requested item.
- Conditions such as material and size were different
- Due to the structure, it is not possible to engrave in the desired location
- It was plated
- It was harder material than expected
Several such cases have occurred in the past.
It is difficult for the customer to judge these points and the condition of the requested item by themselves, and it is extremely difficult for us to calculate the exact amount without seeing the actual requested item.
For this reason, we provide two estimates: a provisional estimate calculated based on the details of your inquiry, and a final estimate calculated after actually inspecting the requested item and understanding its condition.
- How many days does it take from ordering to shipping?

The shortest delivery time is one month, but since a single craftsman engraves each item by hand in the order in which they are received, the delivery time can vary greatly depending on the order status and the content of the request.
Please make inquiries and requests well in advance of your desired delivery date.

- There is an error in the email address you entered
- Sorted as spam or deleted

If there is no problem with the reception settings, the email address is correct, or the email is not sorted into a different folder than usual, there is a possibility that there is an email error or the inquiry was incomplete.
